Number 5
Number 5 is a Category B Listed former farm steading built in the early 19th century. The steading was in a ruinous condition and largely roofless, but The Good House Company undertook a full renovation of the building to create four luxury homes plus a fifth detached home, sympathetic to the development. Traditional materials and techniques were used, to ensure that the conversion remained in keeping with the original building and the steading was converted with modern living in mind, fully insulated and heated with air source heat pumps, to create energy-efficient homes and to reduce the impact on the environment.
Number 5 incorporates the castellated dovecote with stunning Gothic-style mullioned windows, which was converted into a home office space.
The Good House Company was very proud to have received the Scottish Home Awards 2021 Renovation of the Year for the Steading.
